Train passengers travelling past the Amsterdam Amstel station can see the looming office towers of Delta Lloyd, Philips, and so on. These will soon have access to extra emergency power from a Cat diesel generator. Project Leader Paul Marquering of Nuon Business Energy Solutions: "The Cat supplies enough power for the most important facilities of all
the towers, such as the sprinkler systems and emergency lighting. That is currently a total of 2,000 kW, which is comparable to several hundred households."
