Kris van de Voorde and girlfriend Maartje Terwindt have lived since the spring as fort guardians in the only house on Pampus Island. They depend on an Olympian unit for electricity. Kris: "When these sets are in full operation, you can light up the Amsterdam Arena, so to speak. That's as it should be because we sometimes have huge parties of about 400 people on the island."
