The Capstone Microturbine is a combustion turbine based on the same technology as used in an airplane turbine. The microturbine is provided with patented air bearings which practically eliminate friction, resulting in very high fuel efficiency. The stable combustion process ensures optimal fuel burning, producing exceptionally low emission levels to meet the most stringent industry criteria. Because the generator is coupled directly to the turbine the moving parts are reduced to a single rotating component. Intelligent electronics ensure exceptionally stable output.
The result is a highly reliable and clean energy source requiring almost no maintenance.
Microturbine for clean energy
The turbines are available in 30kW, 65kW or 200kW output and are cascade-switchable. The turbine’s fuel flexibility allows the conversion of gases from a variety of sources to useful and clean energy. Furthermore, the diesel version of the Capstone turbine allows energy to be produced without interference of soot filters and catalysts.
