First C32 ACERT engines delivered to Damen
Pon Power, the marketing, sales and distribution representative for Caterpillar propulsion and power generation products in the Netherlands, delivered the first two Caterpillar C32 ACERT marine propulsion engines to Damen Shipyards in the summer of 2008. After extensive testing and trial runs, the boat fitted with these engines is already operative in Aktau, Kazakhstan, a seaport on the Caspian Sea and centre of the country’s flourishing oil and gas industry.
The C32 ACERT Marine Propulsion engine is available in the Netherlands in A to D ratings, corresponding to a useful power delivery ranging from 492 bkW to 1193 bkW.
Thanks to its Caterpillar ACERT technology, the C32 complies with the most stringent emission standards applicable today and in the future, including IMO, EPA, Tier 2, Euronorm 2 and CCR2, in all ratings from A to D - thus ensuring optimum fuel consumption efficiency.
