Our story:
Baltic Marine Contractors OY (BMC) was incorporated in 2005 and acquired by the Dutch company Pon Holdings BV in November 2008. Since then BMC has been a part of the Pon-Cat group.
The original objective of BMC was to provide marine electrical installations and Voyage Data Recording (black box) installations, including annual performance tests and services. After the acquisition the focus has been moved from the above mentioned to also including sale, installation and service of any bridge equipment and GMDSS installations. This includes all kind of navigation and communication equipment etc. which is needed on board a ship.
When BMC was acquired by Pon the mechanical activities of Pon in the Baltic region was merged into BMC. These activities are providing service and selling engines and spare parts for MaK (Caterpillar) engines. BMC is the official MaK dealer in the Baltic States and Finland.
