Our story:
On 1 January 2006, Pon Power AS in Norway and Pon Power A/S in Denmark merged their activities into one new hard-hitting unit. The purpose of the merger was to strengthen the company by exploiting its resources even more to benefit its customers.
Pon Power AS in Norway was founded 1902, when Pay & Brinck began its agency. The company became the main dealer of CAT products in Norway as early as 1926. In 1987, the engine division was demerged into an independent company, Pay & Brinck Motor AS. Following Caterpillar’s acquisition of the German company, MaK GmbH & Co, the company began as agents for MaK products on 1. January 2000.
Our company has been known in Denmark for many decades as Enmaco Motorer A/S. For many years, the fishing industry was its dominating customer, but operations have now expanded to shipping and industry. When Caterpillar bought out the German company MaK GmbH & Co. in 1999, the Danish MaK branch in Hvidovre, not far from Copenhagen, was added to the company, giving it also the MaK product agency.
- Enmaco Motorer was acquired by Pon Holdings BV in October 2004
- Pay & Brinck Motor AS was acquired by Pon Holdings in 2004
- Since then, the companies has traded under the name of Pon Power AS
With more than a century of experience as a company, and more than 3,000 engines delivered, Pon Power today occupies a unique position in the Norwegian market.
