Pon Power Scandinavia has recently installed 2 gensets (C-32 1100 KVa and 3512 1250 KVa, 400V) for the fish farm and hatchery, Alsaker Fjordbruk AS in Norway.
The C-32 genset is placed at Salar Bruk near Bergen in Meland, and the 3512 genset is placed at Fjon Bruk in Sveio near Haugesund.

Both gensets are used as standby power supply for the production of fry and fish to release - supplying power for re-circulation pumps, water temperature control and oxygen supply. The systems act as emergency power if the local power supply fails.
The gensets are connected to BKK and Haugaland-Kraft with back-syncronisation due to weekly tests of the systems, which keeps the engines ready if emergency power is needed.
Pon Power Scandinavia has delivered the control system as well. A ComAp system customized specially for this customer. It has multiple functions of testing and controlling of the power supply. This is critical for the fish, as they are very intolerant to power outage. Even short outages can cause severe damages to the living fry and fish.
The personnel at Salar Bruk and Fjon Bruk has been trained in testing and starting up the systems in cooperation with Pon Power Scandinavia, to make sure the 10 million fish and 5 million fry will be in good hands.
This is a satisfied customer with a crucially higher safety of operation.
