Pon Power AS has signed a contract with Vard Group AS for the delivery of generator sets for diesel-electric propulsion to a new subsea construction vessel to be built for the Taiwanese offshore service company Dong Fang Offshore (DFO). The delivery includes 5 x CAT 3516E generator sets with Pon Power Genflex design, which will contribute to efficient and flexible energy supply on board.
The vessel, of VARD 3 39 design, is developed for advanced subsea operations, including cable installation and repair, as well as operation and maintenance within offshore wind and telecommunications, and is scheduled for delivery in the second quarter of 2027.
